I am sure you have seen the movie and heard the song many time, now there is a cute little book for young kids.
I like this book so much that I gave it to my young nephew as a birthday gift. I love how this book talks about what it will be like in heaven and explains it in away that young kids can understand. It is a quick read and a must have to any young child's library.
I highly recommend this book.
Thank you Thomas Nelson for my free copy in exchange for this review.

Miracle in Shreveport
Miracle in Shreveport is a new book by the Benham brother David and Jason.
The book talks about two brothers road to Baseballs Major leagues. It starts out with them going seeing the movie "The Natural" starting Robert Redford. Any baseball fan out there know how special this movie is and was to any father and son. Playing catch is a true american pastime.
Jason and David talk about the movie and how it had an impact on them and their father. Their dream was to play baseball but, their father had a different dream.
On the way to visit family they saw the Fair Ground Stadium in Shreveport, LA. There father told them at the would one day play together in that stadium. Even said a little pray each time that past it to ask God for his hand in their dream. Even when the brother when away to school and would pass the Stadium they would say a pray that they would get to play together in that stadium.
This book is about their story and how truly a miracle happened for the Benham. This book is a great read, one that I couldn't put down. I love their faith in God and how they would put their trust in Him to see them through. I highly recommend this book, even if you are not a baseball fan you will find joy in this book.

The Berenstain Bears Christmas
What a fun book. I got this book for my 4 year old and lets just say I saw it only once. He loves the Berenstain Bears and he loves activity books so this was a major hit for him.
The book is full of fun activitys and stickers. There are coloring pages, word searches, mazes (which he loves to have me do for him) and so much more.
This book would make a great gift you your child this christmas, you can't go wrong with this book. I highly recommend it.

The Long Journey to Jake Palmer
I had high hopes for this book, coming off reading his book The Five Times I Meet Myself. ( Which I loved and could not put down) I was a little disappointed with this, in fact I really could get past the first 100 pages.
The book is about Jake Palmer who is a corporate trainer. He coaches people to see deep into themselves. ( back cover of the book)
Jake, is those types that love to help others but is unwilling to help himself. Jake hears off the legend of Willow Lake. Its a place where ones longings will be fulfilled. Jake goes to the lake and somehow finds his way.
I am not sure what it was about this book that I really couldn't get into, It might be that I was expecting the Five Times I met myself type of book. Some say that this book as the same magic as that one but I am not sure.
But like all books go ahead read for yourself, I would say if you are interested maybe borrow the book, not sure I would be all for buying this one.
I received this book from Thomas Nelson in exchange for a review. This review is mine and mine alone.

Mothers Day Blessing
This book teaches us the importance of mothers and that there are mothers all around us. Police, Doctors, etc. can all be mothers. It teaches us that mothers are important and that we need to treat them with respect.
I really loved this book as I do all of the Berenstain bear books. I would highly recommend this book and it would make a great add to your series of Berenstain Bear books.

Walk to Beautiful
" Imagine yourself a thirteen-year-old hundreds of miles away from home, in a strange city, and you mom leaves you at a bus station parking lot and drives off into the night with her lover"
That was the opening line of the description of Jimmy Wayne's book Walk to Beautiful. When I read that I had to reread it again. What mother would leave their child alone hundreds of miles away from home, What mother would tell there child to go ahead and get on a bus, and head back home and find your sister. Well just ask Jimmy Wayne. He will be able to tell you first hand.
This book is a must read. I wasn't able to put it down and soaked in every word. As I read about is childhood and how he moved from one town to the next, leaving in very low income places and going sometimes days with out food to eat. Going in and out of foster homes, living on his own is early teens. My heart broke for him. Watching a man get stabbed right in front of him, A mother who is worthless and does nothing to help him against an abuse step father. How could anyone survive this kind of lifestyle? But Jimmy keep the faith and keep on moving, Until one day he finds his savior Bea and Russell Costner. The Costner's change or should I say saved Jimmy's life.
Jimmy goes from a homeless kid down on his lucky to a very successful county star. His life story is unfolded in this great book. I would highly recommend it.

The Five Time I Met Myself
There is nothing better then a good book and James Rubart new book The Five Times I Met Myself fits the mold.
Let me start by saying I couldn't put this book down, there would be night I stay up fighting sleep just to keep reading. The book is well written and very simple to understand.
Brock Matthews has what the call Lucid Dreams. It's the ability to control your dreams. Brock has dreams where he meets his younger self and has is younger self make changes to his life that will affect the world he lives in now, but that cause problems along the way. Brock finds that things change some for the better but other for the worst. He is left to either stay in the time table that he is in or try and get back to the way things where before.
I think what I like about this book is that you come away asking yourself " if I could go back and talk to my younger self what would I have them change?" " Would I be willing to accept the change that would come about?"
I want to thank Thomas Nelson and their Bookbloggers program for my free book in exchange for me review. My review is mine and mine alone.
